Altoholics Anonymous. Go to Page WotLK version is up!! A lot of efforts, but I think it was definitely worth it. For those who did not download the unofficial 2. I was running out of space to add new features, so it was definitely time to add them, and to get rid of the left menu, which was working, but a pain to manage.
Appropriate use of drop down boxes is now giving me much more flexibility, and I think you'll like it. I also added an additional column which I believe you guys will appreciate, it's the Average Item Levelor AiL, which will allow you to see at a glance which alt deserves a little bit more love If you haven't been playing with the unofficial 2. You can still search items by stats, but now you can also sort the results by a specific stat, to find out which item has the most stamina, spell power, or whatever stat you find the most relevant for that spec.
Two other guild bank related features that have been requested for a while are also in this latest version. This option is permanent, although it's not in the "options" tab. Talking about the options tab, all options found in there are now permanent, including the "search into guild bank" and "search into mailbox", which used to be in the main frame. They're also enabled by default, for your best convenience I added two small panes for pets and mounts, and you can expect tabards as well once Blizzard implements them into the beta.
Tokens are also planned. Achievements, however are already in, I am quite satisfied with the results, since it took me quite a while to make up my mind on the best layout, I hope you'll enjoy it.
This feature will probably evolve too. Last but not least, the most important change is that the addon is now based on ace3, the upgrade from ace2 was rather smooth, but I am once again struggling with fubar support. One last word: to all those who have provided suggestions that have not yet been implemented, don't despair, the todolist is still long, and the addon will keep evolving. It's just that because of my free time, it's hard for me to say when I'll have small chunks of free time to work on small features, or when I'll have more time to work on bigger features, so I shift priorities all the time.
With ace3 in the picture, I think that data sharing is now getting much closer though That's basically it for now, I hope you're lucky enough to have access to the beta, and that you'll enjoy the new features As usual, your feedback matters, I had a lot of ideas when I started this addon, but it wouldn't be what it is today without your input. Thanks again to all those who contributed. AH Integration.
AH support is being implemented in the addon, I will soon release an interim build on wowace, it's working ok so far, but the limited options granted by the API prevent me from implementing cool features to manage the AH when you're not in front of it. Until such features are provided to addon coders, we'll have to live with it I'm currently debugging what I've coded, but it's taking some time because I need to test auction expiries and.
I've spent a lot of time fine tuning the advanced "Find upgrade" feature in the addon, it will work more or less like the official wow armory and will show you a list of potential upgrades to your alt's current gear. For instance, if you're a paladin, you'll be able to find an upgrade for tank, heal or dps, which will leave you a lot of choice.
The feature is almost complete right now, it's perfectible but it's working, I'm fine tuning it and making sure that localization works fine as well. I'm still looking for help regarding the deDE localization, so if one of you has free time to spend. I've had little time to work on the addon, but.Go to Page View First Unread. What does it do? It just puts an error message in the chat, saying "Altoholic: Both parties must enable account sharing before using this feature see options ".
Are you logged in on both accounts at the same time? Both accounts have to be logged in at the same time to share information between them. What was I saying? The other modules are also available on GitHub. Thanks to ircdirk for this! I even put the 2 characters in the same place, in case clicking on the other character did something. Am I supposed to tell the addon what other account I want to request sharing with?
If so, how? I did not see a place to do that. I assumed that after I clicked the share button it would pop up something asking me to name the account or a character on it. Last edited by karix : at PM. Based on a quick peek at the code it looks like you need to do one of the following: A Check the "use target" box in the options, and then be targeting the character you want to send your data to. Both characters will need to be on the same realm for this to work.
B Check the "use name" box in the options, and then type the name of the character you want to send your data to into the "account target" box. This might work when the characters are on different realms. Note that I do not actually know what those boxes are labelled in-game, nor where they are, since I don't use the addon and didn't look that far in the very large codebase, but I would assume they would be near the box you checked to enable account sharing.
Also according to the readme it will only send the data for characters on the current realm you're logged into, so if you have characters on multiple realms, you'll need to log into each realm on each account and repeat the process each time. Post all of your actual code! Attach or paste your files.
Post a comment or forum thread instead! Phanx, that sounds like exactly what I need. BUT I don't see a "use target" or "use account" anywhere in the options, or on any Altoholic screen. Again, my guess is that when you push the Account Sharing Request button on the first screen that comes up when you open Alto, it is supposed to pop up a window with these options on it.
But it doesn't. Can someone else confirm this, or point out where they are? Well, you can try running this command beforehand: Code:. Phanx, thank you for your help.As I read Dr. Because what Dr. Drew was saying expressed the attitude that so many people have regarding addiction and recovery, which, in my experience, is ineffective and even damaging for some of us.
I suspect Lohan is one such person. I was 14 when, inI entered my first drug and alcohol rehab program. Since then, and over the course of more than 20 years, I returned to rehab seven times; not one stint proved effective in helping me eliminate my addictive behaviors. I could blame myself for that failure to be helped, as many who treated me did, but at this point in my life, doing so would not make sense.
This is because it was only after I abandoned the burden of blame that I was able to quit drinking and using drugs, including the many psychoactive pharmaceuticals I was on toward the end of my drinking days. Of course, I had to do that on my own since the typical way of thinking about recovery was premised on the assumption that it was my fault treatment was not working.
I understand the fear people have as they watch their loved ones damage themselves with drugs and alcohol. I know my mother was terrified as she watched me fall further and further into the pit of drug and alcohol addiction. If she were not so terrified, she never would have left my life in the hands of complete strangers in dilapidated old hospitals-turned-rehab centers. It was there, in the basement of an old hospital in Inglewood, that I attended my first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
The point I want to make is that those who cannot get well with AA and their way of thinking are not doomed or without hope. I am proof. Those widely accepted methods of addiction therapy are not the only way for an addict to recover.
The common way of looking at addiction — that it is a disease and that a person must attend AA to be sober — does not work for everyone. Most of the rehab stays I endured were by voluntary submission. I wanted to get better. I wanted to be happy and well. I repeatedly and in good faith tried to quit drinking with whatever methods were offered.
But the deep emotional pain I suffered, the great feelings of isolation and loss that were at the root of my substance-abusing behavior, were unmanageable by AA and the common attitudes regarding recovery. I was desperate to be well. I was so desperate that I attempted suicide on more than one occasion, twice while I was on prescribed anti-depressant medications.
The fact is that AA was unable to help me precisely because they were telling me I was powerless and I could never regain full mastery over my own life. It was only after I got out from under the 12 steps and similar ways of thinking that I was able to quit drinking.
However, those of us who are unaffected and even deterred from recovery by the methods and teachings of the program still need to get well. As a society, we have come to treat addicts as if they are in a lesser category of human beings, making it easy to judge and condemn those who are not helped by AA as being uncooperative and irresponsible. When I was 14 and was kicked out of my public school system for excessive truancy, failing grades and using foul language, I know in my heart I was aching so deeply that at times it was all I could do to breathe.
In truth, however, I was so scared of the deep pain I experienced that, like a cat in fright, I hissed and clawed with all my might. People should know that if they do not find help in AA and that way of thinking about addiction, they are not doomed. Not everyone believes AA is a necessary tool toward sobriety. Hot Property. Pages Home. Friday, August 14, Problems With Citadels. If you put your assets into your Citadel, they should be very vulnerable. If you want the advantages, you have to put something on the line and it isn't just the cost of the structure, it's the cost of everything you've chosen to store inside. This serves the dual purpose of giving players a strong incentive to defend their assets. It does not make sense to introduce more safety to the game.
Clearly people are willing to risk their most expensive assets in POses as it is right now. Players don't need any incentive to use Citadels. If the benefits aren't worth the risk, people shouldn't use them. Vulnerability and Reinforcement With regards to vulnerability windows, I think it's a poor design choice.
CCP has listened too much to whiners who want to control the safety of their structures. POSes, as they stand right now, can be attacked any time of day. Citadels, as announced, can only be attacked during certain windows and you won't even know when that is unless you're on grid when it happens. This is a problem for two reasons: 1.
In k-space, you can easily go back and check a Citadel every day, multiple times per day. The system is static and can easily be accessed.
In w-space, you can't. You have to dedicate an alt to sit in there for a week to figure out when their vulnerability window is. Vulnerability windows don't make much sense. I would rather have more control over when your Citadel comes out of reinforcement so if you're attacked in your non-main TZ you have the opportunity to defend in your strong TZ. People should be able to attack you whenever they want. My next issue is with regards to how long the reinforcement period lasts.
As it stands, reinforcement can easily last for a week or longer. This simply will not work for w-space. A w-space siege that is contested by the residents currently can take a full weekend to pull off Friday through Sunday. Part of the reason we can get this done is because the reinforcement timers are hours - not multiple days. Yes, it's boring, but at least you can dedicate one weekend to it and be finished. The Citadel system can be manipulated to drag out your reinforcement over many days or even a week.Return to Board Index.

Even though there aren't even many routes to go when trying to fix an addon. Auctioneer just flat-out does not work. I just wanted to know if I was the only one or not.
I guess I should send some messages to the creator on Curse. This has been an issue for quite a few days. Please don't post saying your addon is giving you no problems just to get a higher post count. I'm looking for answers here.

Auctioneer is working fine for me and has worked fine throughout 5. What symptoms of malfunction are you seeing? I am using the Auctioneer bundle from Curse and updating it with the Curse client. I used to maintain it manually but when I started using TSM also, that became impractical. I had a problem and it was either stubby or swatter needed to be active. Originally Posted by Wezmon.

OneManArmy 8. If I made a mistake on the horde side, please let me know. Note: I have spent a lot of time checking the values behind rest xp almost every day for about 20 days in a rowfollowing a few reports that the addon was not correctly returning this information. It turns out that while there was no issue in the calculation itself, there was an issue in displaying it.
It also turns out that in some cases I was unable to determine, Blizzard sometimes returns an incorrect value for the rest XP. I found out that on at least two of my alts, the rest xp returned was beyond the maximum rest XP.
Some time later, I logged in again and values were correct. What I can say is that this seems to happen for alts that you have not logged in a long time. For example with the alts that I logged in right after BfA launch, to trigger the earning of rest xp, and did not play anymore for many days. I took 2 horde alts, one that I logged in every day to check the rest xp returned vs expectedand it was always correct.
The other monkI checked in parallel without logging him in, and after 7 days, it was ok, but after 14 days, I had this 2. Go figure. Note: if you had opened one of these issues, even from a super long time ago, and you feel it is still not fixed in 8. It was late when I did this work, and I may have closed 1 or 2 a bit too fast. Thanks Leo!
